Two Psalms for Voice and Cello (2017) 7.0’
“Save Me, O God” (from Psalm 69) and “I Will Exalt You” (from Psalm 30) are suitable for performance in church and, perhaps, in other settings as well. The voice part is in the medium range for male or female voice. “Save Me, O God,” with its turbulent, agitated themes, might best fit in with the somber season of Lent. The more exuberant “I Will Exalt You” is a song of praise and trust that would be appropriate for a number of occasions.
