My take on the beloved “Shepherd’s Psalm” (Psalm 23) is a deliberately simple, straightforward piece that’s meant to suggest a tune from, perhaps, “Southern Harmony” or “The Sacred Harp.” This piece can be performed by either 2-part treble choir or as a soprano/alto duet. “The Lord Is My Shepherd” started out as a simple melody written for my 3-year-old daughter in the 1970’s. I’ve revised and updated it several times over the years, and here it is in its final form!
