This lyrical, joyful anthem presents the message of Jesus’ resurrection and triumph over death in a very straightforward style. The text includes two parts of the resurrection narrative that especially move me: Mary weeping at the empty tomb and Peter and John hesitating in fear and uncertainty on the morning of the resurrection. Two versions of the anthem are available: one for SATB and organ, another for SATB, organ, and brass quintet.
