Because of Faith (2016) 3.0’
The lyrics in this anthem, written by Dave Baldwin, emphasize the centrality of faith in the Christian life, reflecting the apostle Paul’s insistence of the priority of faith over “works of the flesh” in chapter 3 of Galatians. In my music I highlight this insistence on one critically important idea by weaving a musical fabric from a single 4-note theme that is stated at the very beginning and then repeated with some variation to the end of the anthem.
